Senior Warden

Carla Harris

Carla has been a member of Trinity Church since 2001. She is drawn by the comfort of the rituals.  She feels a special connection with the parish. Over the years, she has served in various positions on the Vestry, assists with teaching Sunday School and participates in fundraising and outreach events. 

Carla is a Human Resource manager for a health insurance company and enjoys gardening, hiking, kayaking and spending time outdoors.  She resides in South Glastonbury with her son and family dog, Bowie.

Pam Accola

Pam is an anchor in the Trinity Church choir, often leading the congregation as a cantor.

Rita Phillips

Rita has been a member of Trinity Church Portland for approximately three years. She has also been a member of Saint Mary’s Church Portland and the East Hampton Bible Church. She and her husband have been Portland residents for 38 years and have come to love this town. Their daughter Alyssa was born in Portland and was baptized at Trinity Church by Father Patrick in 1987.

 

She is retired from the State of Connecticut where she worked as a Purchasing Officer, first at the Department of Administrative Services and then at the Division of Special Revenue, for over 30 years.

Her hobbies include hiking, singing, and boating. She is a member of the Middlesex Hospital Vocal Chords chorus in Portland. This September the group will be performing at the Bushnell in Hartford, in tribute to the heroes of 9/11. 

She feels God’s calling and wish to serve Him, by working as a member of the Vestry, and by serving our church and community.

Vestry Member

Gerry Pajer

Gerry is new to the Vestry, but not to Trinity Church.  He has been a faithful member for many years.  Kindness and spirituality brought him to Trinity.  He volunteers his time for church events and supports our mission and outreach programs.

Gerry is an animal lover, walking dogs at the CT Humane Society.  He lives in Cromwell with his dog, Prince.

Vestry Member

Judy Henderson

Judy was confirmed at Trinity Church as a teenager in the 60’s.  She retired from nursing after 43 ½ years of advocating for her patients with care and compassion in the operating room at Middlesex Hospital.  She continues her calling by caring for her family members.

 

Judy loves animals, music, old movies, long walks and being outdoors.  She travels all around the world finding joy in meeting new people and new cultures.  She loves her family, friends and her Faith.  She hopes to make a difference in the world, the church and the lives of those she loves.  She has followed her heart and soul back to her church where she has found peace, love, joy and hope in her life’s challenging journey.

She thanks God daily for his unconditional Love and Support!
